Big cannabis money is coming to Prague

The American and Canadian moneyed men are coming to Prague with 15 million euros to spend. Together with a couple of Czech Universities they are establishing the International Cannabis and Cannaboids Institute (ICCI). It looks like enough money was spent on “consultancy” so the Czech political system has allowed the deal.

They will seek to treat ill people with cannabis and design individualistic treatment plans for specific illnesses. For those of you without 15 million euros to spend, you can still buy a bucket, some soil and grow your own medical cannabis without the fan fare and lime light. Organically grown cannabis is a powerful medicine that helps treat almost all illness. Our old fashioned system, that requires huge investment money and greedy profits for the top is one of the main problems facing our society but at the same time, more cannabis in society will certainly help alleviate human suffering.

We have entered the cannabis era. Science, medicine and business will now replace the underground growers and try to squeeze as much profit as possible. It will be important that we continue to fight for our right to grow our own medicine. We will closely follow the icci in the coming months, and we hope that more information about the medical benefits of cannabis will help end needless human suffering.

The story of Plauen’s cannabis social club

cannabis Germany

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there lived a young, happy couple. They found each other in Plauen, Germany. This is a small (50,000 population) town in the old communist east of the country. These kinds of areas tend to have higher unemployment and social issues. Alcohol and drug abuse being a serious problem. So our happy couple have set up a cannabis social club in Plauen. The old conservative heart of Germany sees the couple’s club as a terrible example of society’s decay.

However, there is a little more to this story. You see Plauen’s cannabis club founder has a special interest in cannabis. When he was younger (he is 23 now) he had a bad motor bike accident. Unfortunately he damaged 20% of the back part of his brain, and 10% of the front. This meant that he couldn’t move around too much. If he walked somewhere, he would bump into things. As objects move towards him his brain can’t make sense of them and he hits them. His doctors put him on many different pharmaceutical drugs. These were nasty, strong chemicals and they seemed to make him worse. One of the side effects he suffered was throwing up blood all day. Worse than the side effects, he couldn’t think normally. Understanding what had happened was difficult. Luckily for him, he had a very cool, knowledgeable doctor that whispered to him one day, “try cannabis”.

When he has smoked enough cannabis, he can drive, talk and think normally. Cannabis rewires the way his mind operates. The toxic legal drugs were killing him but the illegal, safe, healthy cannabis plant saved him. Imagine being given back the power of thought. What would you do? Well, our Plauen activist here decided that he should tell the world about what happened to him and raise awareness about the healing power of the plant. The Plauen cannabis social club is a perfect example of what cannabis can do. Not only has it helped Stefan medically, but the herb has an interesting way of letting us think in a very creative way. As the local Plauen authorities cut their after school youth program budgets, the cannabis club has been dreaming up ways to fill those gaps. All money raised by this couple goes to youth projects (Check out their website for more information).

None of this information has been filtering into the minds of the local Plauen population. They were told by the television that cannabis is bad so that is that. The Plauen club is harassed and belittled even though our happy couple only have good intentions. Praguepot is helping out but we are still three hours away and there is a bit of a language barrier. At last weekend’s Prague cannafest, we tried to meet as many German activists as possible and ask them for help. The cannabis community is full of all kinds of people, but you can always notice the increased levels of compassion. The cannafest organizers gave the Plauen club a free stand. That act of kindness has helped connect our couple to the wider community. After a fun weekend they are back in Plauen looking for a suitable garden space to grow organic fruit and vegetables.

Without cannabis, the Plauen club founder would be in a very bad situation. When he came to Prague I made sure he had pot. This is a criminal act in the eyes of the law, but with a little common sense you can see that a law that forbids someone from health is an invalid law. Our governments are dead wrong on cannabis and it is time for them to grow up and deal with the fact that they are quite often completely full of shit. In Amsterdam you can buy pot from a coffee shop but the owners of that coffee shop must magically produce their pot because it is illegal for them to buy it anywhere. We have new shiny medical marijuana bills being proposed but they don’t even attempt to utilize the true value of the plant. At this years cannafest, leading cannabis scientist, Cristina Sanchez told a packed audience that cannabis is 100% healthy for humans. The plant has a positive effect on all cancers. With this ringing in your ears, lets get busy working on how to get out of this mess. Our cancer ravished society needs cannabis. We need more people talking about pot and we need more people growing it. If you can help our Plauen friends in any way the karma points are huge and so is the thank you.

We will keep you posted on what happens up in Plauen. With their limited resources they have turned a bad situation into a beautiful song. Cannabis is medicine, it brings health so it is automatically legal to grow and use no matter what the suits say.

UN drugs committee calls for the end of the war on drugs

UN cannabis

Richard Branson has once again proven invaluable to our cannabis movement. He is a member of the Global Commission on Drugs Policy and has aggressively sought the end of the war on drugs. Richard has released an internal UN document that has called for the ending of the war on drugs. He is a clever business person and by publishing this document, he puts pressure on the UN to actually act for the good of the public it is supposed to serve. The UN has reacted defensively but the game has changed. We are seeing the end of prohibition. We can be a species that relies on science to dictate policy rather than political special, cynical commercial interests. In reality, the drugs war has utterly failed. Cannabis is an anti-cancer fighting substance. You grow the plant, dry it and then consume it. It boosts your health system and helps develop compassionate communities. We have a serious cancer epidemic that is being ignored. Praguepot calls for anyone that can, to start growing cannabis for their own use and for those around you that need this medicine. When laws are unjust, when they deny health or suppress our individual freedoms , we do not need to follow those laws. In fact, we must actively resist these laws for the good of future generations.

It is time for our younger generation to wake up. No more bitching about how the system seems fucked up. It is up to us to resist the older generation’s misguided, ill-informed nonsense on cannabis. Grow cannabis, be happy and form compassionate communities when you meet like minded souls.

Video of UK parliament cannabis debate

Here is the video of the UK parliament’s debate on cannabis after 220,000 citizens signed an online petition. Now that more facts and figures on cannabis are known to government, they can’t pretend that they don’t know about the medicinal properties of the plant. Hopefully this will pave the way for a lawsuit. We need cannabis in society because millions of people are dying from pollution and cancer each year. Cannabis can stop this rot, if the people will unite.

New research, cannabis effectively treats cancer

One World Cannabis

Our scientific friends over at One World Cannabis have been very busy. They are a leading cannabis research company. I met Dr. Yehuda Baruch, director of research, earlier this year and he excitedly told me about cannabis replacing up to half of  pharmaceutical medication currently on the market. In One World Cannabis’ latest scientific trials, they tested cannabis’ ability to fight cancer. The results and amazing. Cannabis kills 60% of Multiple myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow while leaving healthy cells unharmed.

We live in a strange world were this kind of headline gets reported on a small site like praguepot but is ignored by the main stream media. Cancer is a real threat to us. Over the next two decades, cancer cases are set to increase by 70%. Cannabis is a vitally important tool to fight this epidemic, so learning how to grow pot is a very good idea. One World Cannabis operate from Israel, which is the leading medical cannabis country in the world. Pot is already prescribed for chronic pain and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Israel. Contrary to media reports, Israeli patients who use cannabis have not turned into zombies and very few, if any negative side effects have been observed.

It is time to cut out the bullshit. Cannabis is an amazing medicine and all governments in the western world know it. To keep pot illegal is a criminal act and should be resisted. Forget the stereotype stoner, sick people are suffering because they don’t have access to cannabis. A chronic pain sufferer can have liver failure due to pain management drugsI have personally seen someone going from shoveling 18 pills a day to using just cannabis to manage chronic pain. Pot is a natural substance that makes our bodies thrive but unless we keep pressure on our governments, big pharma will continue to poison sick people while a natural, healthy alternative goes to waste.

Help UK cannabis, speak with your local MP

UK cannabis

After the successful online government petition to legalize the production and use of cannabis, the UK parliament has to now meet and discuss the topic on the 12th of this month. After speaking with  UK activist groups, the message going around is; anyone living in the UK should contact their own local MP and ask them if they will be at the parliament debate. The Tory government would like nothing better than a sparsely attended debate.

It will take you a few minutes but the difference could be life changing. Sick and elderly patients can really benefit from the non toxic plant. Increased sleep and appetite are the bed rock of recovery and unlike toxic pharmaceutical drugs, the only side effect of cannabis is a bliss like euphoria.

Take the time to call or email your MP because the drug war has failed. We tried putting everyone in jail and still cannabis use increased. If we remove the black market, then we can make sure that young people don’t have as ready a supply and we can also improve the quality of pot.

Be the difference, contact one of the organizations below or directly with your local MP. We live in a democracy, it is high time we started using the system instead of being used by the system!!!

Big pharma is worse than you think

pharmaceutical propaganda

Pharmaceutical companies are among the largest corporations on the planet. Their power and influence is incredible. They are making up the rules as they drug a larger and larger percentage of the population. They make drugs, test them and then have them approved by their buddies in the system. Cannabis can replace most of these toxic pills but unless the internet goes down in the next 12 months, cannabis is about to destroy their evil empire. The video below is shocking. Big pharma will not voluntarily stop trying to increase their customer base. They want every man, woman and child drugged for their profit. What do you do when the crazy conspiracy theories turn out to be true?
