And just like that, the plant went from a national security threat to simply another plant in the lush paradise that is Jamaica. If you look hard at the photo, you should not be able to observe any Armageddon like catastrophes unfolding around the plant. In fact, with rich soil, sunshine and a little rain the plant starts to grow like all the other weeds.
The winners here are, sick people who can benefit from the plant’s medicinal properties, farmers who will have another cash crop, people who want a health alternative to alcohol and baby Jesus who told me in a dream last night that cannabis is his idea of a good time.
The losers are the lazy police and politicians that profited from harassing a free thinking segment of the population, the rabid prohibitionists, the racists that didn’t like “them niggers getting all uppity” and obviously the pharmaceutical and alcohol industries.
Our choice as a community is to lend our support for a loving, science based group of evolved humans or continue with the greedy, hate filled spineless shits that currently rob us blind while condescendingly assuring us that they do what they do for the greater good.
Well done Jamaica, Bob Marley would be very proud. Uruguay, parts of America, Holland and now Jamaica have proven that cannabis is not a big deal. Like camera phones making the police act better, cannabis legalization makes our system of government change for the better too. Sorry grey bureaucrats that are just waiting for retirement, but we actually require that you do some work. Legalize and regulate the plant so we can figure out how best to use it (AGAIN) for the betterment of society.
Little is known and taught about the endocannabinoid system. Much like our hormonal system, it plays an active, vital role in maintaining our health. Dr. Mechoulam, one of Israel’s greatest sons, discovered the system in the 1990’s. Not only do our bodies have receptor sites cued just for cannabinoids, our bodies actually produce them internally. The active ingredients in cannabis naturally complement this system which affects pain, inflammation and our immune system. It is suspected that many illnesses are caused by a deficiency in the endocannabinoid system. In the following years of research the true insanity of the war on cannabis will be known. Smoking cannabis over a 20 year period reduces the risk of diabetes by 66%. There is no medication currently on the market that can compete with this.
Basically, whether you are using cannabis for fun or as a medicine, you are receiving the health benefits in your endocannabinoid system anyway. This is great news for a health conscious society but bad news for big pharma, the law enforcement and alcohol industries. The short video below gives us a first glance at this system.
On 10 and 11 March, in the Provincial Court of Bizkaia, Spain, the oral review will take place on the case against 5 members of the Pannagh association, one of the first Cannabis Social Clubs in Spain. The courtcase will start at 10 AM in the room nº 5, C/ Barroeta Aldamar, 10, Bilbao.
We wish to make an appeal on all activists, the cannabis sector in general and all consumers in particular, to participate in the support action of our colleagues from Pannagh during the days before and after the courtcase.
LET’S MAKE THIS SUPPORT MESSAGE MAKE A TRENDING TOPIC #FreePannagh
It goes without saying that THE ENTIRE ACTIVIST MOVEMENT is at stake in this courtcase. This case is not only about defending the honour and the dignity of the staff and the members, it can very well set an important precedent on the operational concept that our activist movement has to follow.
COLLABORATE, BROADCAST, PARTICIPATE…….DEFEND THE MODEL THAT GAVE US LIFE!!!

We are left to assume governments know best but that is often not the case. Authority is warped and corrupted by big money interests. Cannabis activists are simply seeking to have their chosen intoxicant treated in the same manner as alcohol. Because we know alcohol is a much more dangerous substance than cannabis we didn’t think there would be a fuss. With freedom being eroded and the general population too docile to care, cannabis is kept illegal. In the limited testing to date, pot has scientifically been shown to kill cancer while leaving healthy cells alone. That is an amazing fact. History is going to wonder how we came to prohibit marijuana even after the health benefits started coming out. Big pharmaceutical companies stand to lose huge profits when cannabis is finally adopted as a wonder medical herb. Until then, growers will keep growing and activists will keep on pushing. Governments will keep doing what they are doing too, they will concern themselves with the maintenance of their privilege. What a crazy world, let’s all band together and get the cure for cancer legalized. I didn’t realize this was a radical notion, I thought it was an obviously compassionate one.
We have all been shocked by the violence in Paris recently. Extremists using religion to get their barbaric kicks is not something that benefits mankind. We must not forget that Western powers are daily slaughtering innocent people in Middle Eastern countries so for the sake of peace all violence must stop. That being said, and this being a pot activist website, how does terrorism and cannabis collide? Arnold Plickert, the vice-president of the German police union has recently said that police should not have to deal with cannabis possession cases. Police have real work to do, like helping to protect the public from serious crime and terrorism. As the new year rumbles along, we are getting new scientific knowledge of cannabis and guess what, cannabis is proving to be an incredibly healthy plant for humans.
Germans are known to be practical people, Arnold Plickert has said out loud what most European police think privately. Cannabis is not a threat to society, and its prohibition is a distraction from real police work. This is going to be a big year for cannabis legalization, America has paved the way for Europe to now play catch up. Colorado has had a year of legal cannabis and there are no negative effects on society. Drug cartels are losing money, conservative Christians have more sinners to pray for and all is right with the world (of cannabis, at least in Colorado). We need more Arnold Plickerts speaking up. The madness of cannabis prohibition has to stop. Alcohol is an incredibly dangerous drug when compared to marijuana so it is time to drop the theatrics. Society got it wrong on cannabis, it is important if we are to call ourselves civilized, that we recognize our mistakes and move to correct them as quickly as possible. For European cannabis legalization Germany is key. We need them to come out with some common sense to dispel the nonsense surrounding the cannabis debate. 2015 is going to be huge for the movement. American gains will be expanded and meek European leadership can be emboldened by positive scientific data. It is up to each of us to be as informed as possible and to get vocal.
