Wasn’t it nice when we were kids. We believed what we were told and then took a nap. As adults, doing the same thing has let big business run riot with our environment and our health. Drilling in the Arctic is a good idea. Who cares about its pristine environment the profit depraved, psychopaths in suits say. Fast food is good for you their studies have found. Load up on sugar and salt like it is going out of business!
But we are not children, and we are responsible for both ourselves and our environment. Each of us has an important role to play. From simple acts of kindness to examples of incredible bravery (Edward Snowden) we all must play our part. For reasons of greedy profiteering cannabis has been prohibited by the world. America lead the charge against the plant based on racial propaganda. Over the decades this initial propaganda was reinforced with new arguments based solely on ideological ideas rather than scientific facts. In 1947 the US government studied cannabis and its effects on epilepsy. It was clearly shown that cannabis was a cure for the affliction. This was not the kind of information that the government wanted to release so they suppressed it! In 1974 at the Medical College of Virginia, scientists looked at how cannabis affects cancer cells. To the displeasure of the government, they found that cannabis kills cancer cells. Again this information was kept secret. There was a drugs war to be fought, even if the drug they were fighting was perhaps the greatest medicinal plant that will ever be known to man.
Below are a list of scientific studies done on cannabis and cancer. They all show that the plant helps fight the deadly threat of cancer. The power of the internet spreads information and connects people. I hope this helps to do both.
Pancreatic cancer cells kill themselves when they are exposed to cannabis. http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/66/13/6748.abstract
Liver cancer is one of the most deadly forms of the disease. Cannabis can slow the growth of tumors.
Oral cancer cells cannot breath properly and die when exposed to cannabis.
Blood cancer is deadly because it can carry the damaged cells throughout the body. Three different studies attest to cannabis’ ability to fight this type of cancer.
Prostate cancer is a painful killer. Pot fights the disease effectively and is a good health maintenance medicine.
Lung cancer can be treated with cannabis. The results speak for themselves. Inhaling cannabis smoke is healthy for the lungs.
Breast cancer can be cured and prevented by the consumption of active ingredients in medical marijuana.
And finally brain cancer. Because our brains are so delicate, operating is a drastic step. Cannabis easily gets into the brain and helps fight cancer there.
These studies have been carried out inspite of the ban on cannabis. When we finally have an end to pot prohibition we can properly explore the benefits of medical marijuana. Shame on anyone who denies the medical properties of cannabis. We don’t need toxic pills for most of our modern day illnesses. We need good diets, exercise and a little of mother nature’s cannabis plant.
Cannabis is split between indica and sativa strains. Sativa is associated with cerebral highs, energy and day time. Indica is more of a body stone and promotes relaxation and sleep. Getting a good night sleep after a stressful day can be difficult. Sleep research has highlighted the positive role that cannabis has on problem sleepers. Consuming marijuana before bed helped insomniac sufferers fall asleep. This is good news for cannabis consumers but bad news for the pharmaceutical industry. The business of getting you to sleep is a 32 billion dollar business. Those toxic pills and consultants are a growing part of big pharma’s profits.
You don’t have to be a genius to work out that the pharmaceutical industry is going to be completely against legalizing marijuana when you understand that pot can wipe out that 32 billion market over night. Yes the pharmaceutical companies want new jets and off shore bank accounts. Call me a radical but I think that huge sum of money is better off in working families pockets. We have the means to grow our own medicine with cannabis. Before it was made illegal, cannabis was an effective treatment for almost all ailments.
A good nights sleep should not include putting toxins in your body. Fixing one problem but creating another is the pharmaceutical industry’s motto.
It doesn’t have to be this way. The world is in the mess it is because we stopped taking responsibility for ourselves. Cannabis is a powerful medicine. Sleep is the cornerstone of a healthy life. Lets cut out the mega drug dealers(Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Eli Lily etc) and grow the medicine for ourselves. The momentum for cannabis legalization is growing but this isn’t enough. We need to be able to produce the medicine for ourselves. Lets take back our good nights sleep with home grown medicine
Smoke curls up and moves towards the heavens.
Senses melting into the environment.
Warmth, fun and focus.
It is time to simply be.
Welcome in mother nature.
Let the plant’s message of peace and love fuse with my own thoughts of harmony.
There is more to life than meets the eye.
We are not robots, our journey home should be filled with laughter.
Life is to be celebrated, to smile at the sun with our closed eyes.
Welcome in mother nature, you have been sorely missed.
I know it is hard to believe that cannabis is the exact opposite of what the government has told us. Propaganda is a powerful tool. It is only in the last ten years that we have had the internet and access to mass information. What did we find? Surprise, surprise the government really don’t know it all. In fact they are paid by legal bribery(lobby money) to act in big business interests, often to the detriment of society.
The video below is an amazing 36 second wake up call. Cannabis kills cancer cells. Imagine yourself in a doctor’s office. Clean and business like with a confident, reassuring doctor in front of you. Then he or she drops the bomb on you. You’ve got cancer. Now see how amusing it is to have a known cancer fighting substance being inaccessible to you. Cannabis saves lives. Lets not wait until it is us sitting in that chair before we give a damn whether pot is legalized or not. Lets spread the word and welcome pot in from its exile!
Is cannabis a medicine? If you ask the DEA, Federal American Government, tobacco companies, alcohol producers, pharmaceutical companies or members of the law enforcement industry then the answer is a big whooping NO! Aint nothin in that there plant but the devil’s own spit, they would say in their fine southern drawl. Unfortunately for them, science has trumped their ideological stance on the plant. The cannabis prohibitionists are the decedents of those wonderfully bleak church folk from the 1600s that wanted to put a pitch fork up Galileo’s ass for daring to bring evidence that the earth was in fact not flat but round. We are having the same battle with the health benefits of cannabis today. Closed minded establishment types, religiously holding onto their idea of what the world is. Even with evidence, they hold to their original thoughts.
In reality you can’t win with these people. They turn up every few hundred years or so to block the path of human progress. Cannabis has cancer fighting properties. In all the years of cancer research, nothing has been as exciting as the discovery of this fact. It has been scientifically proven that cannabis helps treat epilepsy, Crohn’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, wasting disorders, post traumatic stress disorder and many other illnesses and yet the US Federal Government has classified cannabis as a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, deemed to have no approved medicinal value.
At the end of October testimony was gathered on the medical benefits of cannabis during the case, United States v. Pickard. Federal Government prosecutor Richard Bender admitted that THC, the psychoactive part of cannabis is an effective pain relieving agent. That ladies and gentlemen, is the ball game. Once it is on record that cannabis has a medical benefit, the whole charade can stop and we then get on with using the plant properly.
It is now a waiting game. Within the next few months cannabis will be rescheduled. As much as the government of America don’t want to change their stance on cannabis, they have to. The genie is out of the bottle.
